Orb Mellon is the founder/guitarist of the seminal 90's indie rockers and Sony/Epic recording artists Dirt Merchants. Orb Mellon mines the raw energy of 20th Century American roots music, particularly whiskey fueled house party delta blues. Influences like Bukka White and Junior Kimbrough, Orb Mellon performs pure, sonically aggressive, and ever transforming original folk blues. Orb has performed extensively sharing the stage with David Johansen (NY Dolls), Daddy Long Legs, Charlie Parr, R.L.Boyce and Brownbird Rudy Relic. They are made up of 2 Berklee College of Music graduates, Carlos Miller (Vocals & Guitar) & Brian Rizzi (Drums). Along with Dave Washicoky (Bass), the band has been playing Fairfield Country for over a decade.
