Black Bridge Motor’s Car Show and Harbor Bridge Academy Benefit

  Join Blackbridge Motor's on Sunday, April 23rd, from 2-5 pm for beer, food, cars, and live music by Sister Funk Trio to benefit Harbor Bridge Academy. Harbor Bridge Academy provides a classroom environment for students who have an interest outside of traditional, college-based careers. Brien McMahon High School students can attend the academy at the Blackbridge Motors’ shop and receive hands-on training to begin careers in the automotive industry. HarborBridgeAcademy.com

Sister Funk Trio

Sister Funk is a New Haven based, female band who has been performing on a regional basis for 20 years. They will be performing for this night as a trio. They are CT natives who have been sharing stages with some of the nation’s biggest names in music: ZZ Top, Foreigner, Melissa Etheridge, B 52’s and more. Do they play funk? Not in the true sense but more in line with rock-country, folk-pop with a blues dance groove.
