SUMMARY:Mind The Gap
DESCRIPTION:Mind the Gap are based out of New Canaan and have been playing around Fairfield County and New York since 2014. They are one of the most entertaining party bands in CT\, and two – time winners of the prestigious Gates Restaurant Battle of the Bands competition in New Canaan – in both 2023 and 2019. \nThey have also won Best Local Rock Band in the Best of the Gold Coast Awards 2016. In 2017 they scooped the awards for both Best Rock Band and Best Covers Band. In 2018 they were runners up in 95.9 The Fox’s Classic Rock Cover Battle\, and in 2022 they were runners up in the Gates Battle of the Bands\, but reclaimed their crown as winners this year! \n\nThey are Peter Ditlevesen – Bass\, Arthur Zinn – Vocals and Rhythm Guitar \, Drew Lavyne – Lead Guitar\, Graham Lampen – Drums\, and Chaz Lampen – Keys. SUMMARY:Orb Mellon
DESCRIPTION:Orb Mellon is the founder/guitarist of the seminal 90’s indie rockers and Sony/Epic recording artists Dirt Merchants. \nOrb Mellon mines the raw energy of 20th Century American roots music\, particularly whiskey fueled house party delta blues. Influences like Bukka White and Junior Kimbrough\, Orb Mellon performs pure\, sonically aggressive\, and ever transforming original folk blues. Orb has performed extensively sharing the stage with David Johansen (NY Dolls)\, Daddy Long Legs\, Charlie Parr\, R.L.Boyce and Brownbird Rudy Relic. In 2018\, Orb Mellon was a feature performer at the Montreal International Jazz Festival. \nOrb Mellon has released 3 full length albums and 3 EPs and his work has been featured in regional\, national\, and international press and have been included in feature films and television shows such as FX’s “Justified\,” the feature films “Kill For Me\,”\, “True Blood\,” and “Extant” staring Halle Berry. Also CBS drama “The Good Wife\,” the BBC’s “The Intruders\,” and AT&T’s “Mr. Mercedes.”\n\nDave Robbins has been performing throughout New England with various Blues Bands for many years. Dave is a Master Blues Harmonica Burner extraordinaire and Vocalist with New England’s Trad Blues King’s “The Incredible Amplifires'”. Dave can also be seen as Harmonica player with Chicago Blues Delmark recording star\, Mud Morganfield (Muddy Waters eldest son!) when touring the East Coast and other parts of the U.S.\nTogether Orb Mellon and Dave Robbins are the ORB MELLON DUO.
