DESCRIPTION:Orb Mellon is the founder/guitarist of the seminal 90’s indie rockers and Sony/Epic recording artists Dirt Merchants. \nOrb Mellon mines the raw energy of 20th Century American roots music\, particularly whiskey fueled house party delta blues. Influences like Bukka White and Junior Kimbrough\, Orb Mellon performs pure\, sonically aggressive\, and ever transforming original folk blues. Orb has performed extensively sharing the stage with David Johansen (NY Dolls)\, Daddy Long Legs\, Charlie Parr\, R.L.Boyce and Brownbird Rudy Relic. In 2018\, Orb Mellon was a feature performer at the Montreal International Jazz Festival. \nOrb Mellon has released 3 full length albums and 3 EPs and his work has been featured in regional\, national\, and international press and have been included in feature films and television shows such as FX’s “Justified\,” the feature films “Kill For Me\,”\, “True Blood\,” and “Extant” staring Halle Berry. Also CBS drama “The Good Wife\,” the BBC’s “The Intruders\,” and AT&T’s “Mr. Mercedes.”\n\nDave Robbins has been performing throughout New England with various Blues Bands for many years. Dave is a Master Blues Harmonica Burner extraordinaire and Vocalist with New England’s Trad Blues King’s “The Incredible Amplifires'”. DESCRIPTION:The School of Rock New Canaan House Band music program gives students under 18 the opportunity to join a gigging band composed of fellow musicians from their school. These students perform additional live shows throughout the year. All students in the Performance Program have the opportunity to audition for a spot in School of Rock New Canaan’s House Band. Once selected\, House Band members become leaders in their School of Rock community and perform live shows at CT rock venues throughout the year. \nPerformance is the core of School of Rock’s educational approach. Therefore\, we create additional opportunities for students to perform on stages throughout New Canaan and the rest of CT. The House Band music program allows each school’s most talented students the opportunity to join a band and play routinely in front of live audiences. Once a member\, students will gain real music experience associated with gigging musicians and will become leaders and mentors inside the School of Rock community.

Dave\, a versatile and soulful singer\, complemented Laraine’s vocals with his unique tone and harmonies. And finally\, Brien\, a dynamic and explosive drummer\, provided the driving force behind the band’s rhythm. \nHailing from different corners of Connecticut\, their paths converged in the vibrant music scene of lower Fairfield county. They met through chance encounters at local gigs\, where their mutual admiration for each other’s talent sparked the idea of forming a band that would push the boundaries of rock music. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nIn their small\, cluttered practice space\, located in the heart of Wilton\, they began crafting their sound. The Elastic Edge sought to infuse their music with the spirit of rock ‘n’ roll legends of the past\, while simultaneously creating a fresh and modern sound. Drawing inspiration from their collective experiences and the diverse music they grew up listening to\, they embarked on a musical journey to redefine the rock genre.
